Brides entering the year of 2022 are entering an entire new bridal era, and we are so here for it! Bridal trends change every so often, but this year comes with a bigger change than most years. With the recent wedding boom due to the pandemic, couture houses and bridal designers have been hard at work finding the best trends to bring to our well deserving 2022 brides.
I know you guys were expecting this, so we’re going to get it out of the way! The square neckline is the biggest trend right now, clear across the globe. With the 90’s styles making its’ comeback, this neckline is not only trending in bridal, but in all areas of clothing. The best thing about this neckline is that it is flattering for all bust sizes – big or small. The neckline also makes any gown look ten times more trendy, along with adding class and elegance.
Traditionally, corsets are pretty common in wedding gowns to provide support and cinching waistlines, but the newest trends are making it so that the corsets are to be seen. The corset-look not only will include the exposed boning, but also the sheer corset panels.
Bold sleeves on a wedding gown have been making its huge comeback for a while now, and for 2022 it is here to stay! In the early 2000s, they were pushed out of style for the sweetheart neckline and the strapless gowns, but now the sleeves are back with vengeance!
Who knew ruffles were going to make their debut on the trending list!? We love it. We may not see it too often here in good ol’ Ohio or Blush, but we will definitely see the trend in some celeb weddings or weddings in a city that is more on-trend. We’re not going to lie, if we could fill our store with all the oversized ruffles and tiered tulle we would!
Our 2022 brides are all for the rosettes, which are the three-dimensional flowers on the wedding gowns you have been seeing lately! Not only do these add texture, but it catches the eye ten times more. These details are an older design with a more modern flare and its romantic and brides are absolutely obsessing over it! Okay, honestly these have been in for a bit but we promise they’re not budging. We swear, every time we see one on a bride we fall more and more in love with them. These gowns are the definition of class and it puts such a stunning characteristic to your gown that truly is a game changer.
Colorful designs and oversized floral prints are giving us the perfect amount of drama and color but subtle enough for a wedding gown. Color alone is making it huge in the bridal world, but flowers is right behind it making it one of the largest trends in 2022.
